CHALLENGE
Our client, Sundbybergs Stad, wanted to start a collaboration group to develop the districts of Hallonbergen and Ör in Stockholm by creating new homes and centres in both areas. They also wanted to address the socioeconomic disparities that can arise within urban development. The media paints a negative picture when it comes to safety issues in the area. How can we get people to choose Hallonbergen and Ör and stimulate demand for the 4,000 planned new homes?
SOLUTION
We consulted the city and identified the group’s various collaboration incentives. We defined areas of collaboration, developed a proposed allocation of the new budget, and presented an activity plan focused on place marketing and social investments. We were then able to start the long-term place branding.
Result
A few months after implementing our plan, launching the website and starting to publish positive content, we made it to the first page of Google for searches for Hallonbergen.
